At the Arts Pavilion in West Kowloon, an exhibition celebrating 25 years of SaloneSatellite arrives in China. The city of Shanghai hosts this event, highlighting the significance of the Asian market for the Italian furniture and design industry and underscoring the importance of dialogue between diverse cultures and design visions. For Desalto as well, the Chinese market is strategic, offering exciting business opportunities.
From November 8 to 10, Salone del Mobile.Milano, featuring 36 exhibiting brands, will stage its second major international event in collaboration with West Bund Art & Design, hosted at the futuristic venue The Orbit, designed by architect Thomas Heatherwick.
Here, artist Matilde Cassani’s installation features concentric spirals inhabited by iconic products that embody the excellence of Italian design, creating an evolving, organic architecture.
The exhibition space evokes a radial city hosting an urban celebration, animated not only by the spatial movement of citizen-spectators but, above all, by an ideal and cultural mobility. Performers, moving in a single direction, transform the design spaces into inhabited interiors.
Desalto showcases two iconic products from its collection: the sculptural Clay table—a perfect synthesis of beauty and harmony of proportions—and the Element table, also an emblem of the brand's know-how, blending structural boldness with Japanese-inspired poetics.
